Vilnius University Health and Sports Centre invites you to a new specialized CORE & BALANCE workout, designed to strengthen the back, shoulder girdle, and the entire spine. The sessions will use an exercise ball—a tool that naturally activates the deep stabilizing muscles and helps develop body control.

On November 10, 2025, at 3:30 p.m., an open lecture–meeting–discussion in English titled “Your Personality Impacts How You Exercise, Recover and Learn” will take place at Vilnius University’s Small Aula (Universiteto St. 3). The event is organized by the VU Health and Sport Centre in collaboration with the Community Well-Being Division.

Vilnius University Health and Sports Centre invites members of the community to try new yoga classes starting on November 12. This is a great opportunity to relax, build physical strength, and improve concentration.

We would like to remind you that the VU Health and Sports Center is closed on public holidays, and on November 1 and 2, the sports halls at Saulėtekio ave. 2 and Čiurlionio str. 21 will be closed.

On October 25, the Lithuanian Student Shooting Championship took place at the Kaunas Sports School “Gaja,” featuring the best shooters from six higher education institutions. This year, Vilnius University was represented by four students: Andrea Noone (Life Sciences Center), Aleksandra Semionovaitė (alumni), Valerija Dušenko (alumni), and Rimantė Rėkašiūtė (Faculty of Communication).

For several years, the sports hall of Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) has been home to the Lithuanian Student Sambo Championship. On October 25, the best athletes from seven higher education institutions competed there. Vilnius University was represented by as many as 15 athletes at the championship.

Vilnius University Health and Sports Center invites employees to take care of their physical and emotional well-being by joining free workouts. The sessions take place during the lunch break – a great opportunity to step away from daily tasks for a while, get moving, and recharge your energy.

 

Starting October 9, Vilnius University Health and Sport Centre invites all members of the VU community to take care of their well-being and dedicate half an hour to an active break – an online workout once a week.
