Vilnius University’s Health and Sports Center invites all members of the community to continue leading an active lifestyle throughout the summer! Our facilities and sports spaces remain open both in Saulėtekis and in the city center – we encourage you to take the opportunity to improve your health, stay active, and relax.

We would like to inform you that on May 1 (Thursday), in observance of International Workers’ Day, all sports halls will be closed, including the facility at Saulėtekio av. 26, where table tennis competitions will be held on that day.

On April 5th, the Saulėtekis area turned into a lively hub of excitement and adventure, as orienteering competitions were held to celebrate Vilnius University's 446th birthday. The event brought together experienced enthusiasts, curious first-timers, and families with children—all united on the same trail. Despite the chilly and windy weather, an impressive 55 teams took to the start line. Whether walking or running, they had 2 hours to search for 46 control points.

On February 25, the awards ceremony for the best student-athletes took place at Vilnius University. The festive event was held in the Small Aula, where award nominees, their coaches, family members, and members of the University community gathered. The ceremony was attended by Rector Prof. Rimvydas Petrauskas, Vice-Rector Prof. Vilmantė Pakalniškienė, and Chancellor Raimundas Balčiūnaitis, as well as Director of the Health and Sports Center, Assoc. Prof. Ramunė Žilinskienė, who congratulated the athletes.

A unique opportunity to discover running

The Health and Sports Center is teaming up with the leader of the nut and dried fruit market in the Baltic States, "Arimex," and invites University students and staff to train together and conquer a 5 or 10 km distance in the Vilnius Half Marathon on May 24th.
