Vilnius University Health and Sports Center invites employees to take care of their physical and emotional well-being by joining free workouts. The sessions take place during the lunch break – a great opportunity to step away from daily tasks for a while, get moving, and recharge your energy.

 

Starting October 9, Vilnius University Health and Sport Centre invites all members of the VU community to take care of their well-being and dedicate half an hour to an active break – an online workout once a week.

We are announcing the preliminary group training schedule. Group trainings start on September 8.

A reminder that on September 10, 6 PM we are inviting everyone to an outdoor training session at Saulėtekis. More information and registration HERE.

On July 16, 2025, the FISU World University Games will kick off in Rhine-Ruhr and run until July 27 across six cities in Germany.

The World University Games, better known by their former name — the Universiade — are the largest multi-sport event after the Olympic Games. This year, over 8,500 participants are expected to compete in 18 different sports.

Our facilities and sports spaces remain open both in Saulėtekis and in the city center – we encourage you to take the opportunity to improve your health, stay active, and relax.

We would like to inform you that on May 1 (Thursday), in observance of International Workers’ Day, all sports halls will be closed, including the facility at Saulėtekio av. 26, where table tennis competitions will be held on that day.

On April 5th, the Saulėtekis area turned into a lively hub of excitement and adventure, as orienteering competitions were held to celebrate Vilnius University's 446th birthday. The event brought together experienced enthusiasts, curious first-timers, and families with children—all united on the same trail. Despite the chilly and windy weather, an impressive 55 teams took to the start line. Whether walking or running, they had 2 hours to search for 46 control points.
