Vilnius University Health and Sports Center, together with the Baltic region’s leading nuts and dried fruits company Arimex, is inviting VU students and staff for the second consecutive year to take on a shared challenge – to prepare over two months and complete either a 5 km or 10 km distance at the Vilnius Half Marathon on May 23.
Why join?
Regular running not only strengthens your body but also improves emotional well-being, boosts stress resilience, helps you relax, and reduces tension. Have you never run before, or do you run only occasionally but want to start training regularly and learn proper running technique? This project is perfect for you!
The program is designed for both beginners and those returning to running – workouts will be tailored to different fitness levels. It’s more than just training – it’s community support, structured preparation, and a clear goal.
Workouts start on March 23 and will take place twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 PM, at the VU Health and Sports Center (M. K. Čiurlionio St. 21) and Vingis Park. This two-month journey is a great opportunity to gain new skills and strengthen yourself.
REGISTRATION*
Don’t miss your chance – register by March 20 and start your running challenge!
*By registering, participants confirm they will attend at least 50% of the sessions and purchase a VU Health and Sports Center monthly membership (15 EUR for students, 20 EUR for staff). The project is funded by the Arimex endowment sub-fund in support of the VU community’s mobility and initiatives promoting well-being.
