Vilnius University Sports and Health Center, together with the Lithuanian Orienteering Federation, invites you for the fifth time to celebrate the University’s birthday actively by taking part in the traditional orienteering game.
On March 28, marking the 447th anniversary of Vilnius University, all members of the University community, as well as residents and guests of the city of Vilnius, are invited to join the orienteering game.
Start location: Vilnius University Central Campus
Event start: 12:00 PM, in the Library Courtyard of the Vilnius University Central Campus (Universiteto St. 3).
Participants can look forward to a 90-minute adventure in the center of Vilnius, during which they will need to find various locations around the city. Each participant can choose their own route and the order of checkpoints, making the game suitable both for those who want to move at a running pace and for those who prefer walking and exploring the city more calmly.
Everyone is welcome to participate – from the youngest to the oldest.
The OMaps mobile app will be used during the game, and we recommend downloading it in advance. Registered participants will receive competition instructions before the event, and just before the live start they will be given a paper map.
You can take part in the orienteering game individually or form a team with colleagues, friends, or family members. The event is friendly to all age groups – last year, the youngest participant was only three months old!
