The ability to protect yourself begins with knowing how to respond in unexpected situations. Self-defence classes offer an opportunity not only to learn practical techniques, but also to build self-confidence, better understand your own abilities, and learn to recognise potentially dangerous situations.

Why is self-defence particularly relevant for women?

Self-defence classes are designed with women in mind, as the ability to recognise threats, trust your own judgement, and take responsibility for your personal safety is particularly important when navigating a variety of everyday situations. The training can help participants feel more confident in public spaces, when travelling, or when returning home, while also providing a better understanding of the actions they can take if they find themselves in danger.

However, self-defence is not just for women. Everyone who wants to develop practical safety skills, build self-confidence, and learn how to respond responsibly to challenging situations is welcome to join the classes.

What matters most is not physical fitness or previous experience, but a willingness to learn. Self-defence can be a valuable opportunity to challenge yourself and gradually develop greater confidence.

The skills and experience gained through self-defence classes can be valuable beyond situations involving an immediate threat. Regular participation in physical training helps participants become more aware of their bodies, improve coordination and reaction time, while learning to act in unfamiliar circumstances can also help strengthen emotional resilience.
