If you’re looking for a way to move more and try something new, now is the perfect time. At the Vilnius University Health and Sports Center (M. K. Čiurlionio St. 21), there are still spots available in self-defense, boxing, and body balance classes! It’s not only a chance to strengthen your body, but also to discover the joy of movement together with others.
BODY BALANCE
Body Balance is a moderate-intensity full-body workout that combines strength exercises, stretching, and coordination training. During the session, both deep and superficial muscles are strengthened, while posture, stability, and body control are improved. The balanced workload allows you to activate and relax muscles at the same time, making it suitable for those who want to build strength, improve flexibility, and enhance overall well-being.
Classes take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 PM with instructor Saule Krivickiene.
BOXING
These sessions are based on boxing fundamentals and are suitable for both beginners and those with prior experience. You will learn proper stance, movement, basic punches, and simple defensive techniques, while more experienced participants can further develop their skills. The intensity and complexity of the workouts increase gradually. Training helps improve physical fitness, endurance, coordination, reaction time, and self-confidence.
Classes take place on Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:00 PM with experienced boxing coach Rytis Vasiliauskas, a multiple-time Lithuanian and Lithuanian Armed Forces champion and medalist.
SELF-DEFENSE TRAINING
These sessions are based on judo and sambo principles and focus on learning fundamental standing and ground techniques applicable to self-defense. You will practice safe falling techniques, basic throws, and groundwork actions. Training also improves strength, endurance, speed, technique, coordination, and self-confidence.
Classes take place on Wednesdays at 3:30 PM with coach Eimantas Tukačiauskas.
