Life Sciences Center Speaker: VU Life Sciences Center microbiologist, associate professor Eglė Lastauskienė Already in first days of a human's life, a newborn is colonized by comensal intestinal microorganisms. Recent studies show that microbiota is important for normal health and brain functioning, nowadays the relationship between stress and microbiota, and how microbiota's changes can affect stress-related behavior, are analyzed intensively. During this lecture, we will try to find out, whether experienced stress can affect the intestinal bacteria, and whether the bacteria itself can help us to survive those stressful situations. Orienteering sport track in Sauletekis Forest will not only allow you to get to know this sport, but also to find out intersting facts about the human's body at every point of the track.
