The Vilnius University fencing team is one of the most decorated student sports teams in Lithuania, renowned for its long-standing traditions and outstanding athletic achievements. The team is coached by R. Kniukšta.

HISTORY
HISTORY
Fencing competitions were first organized at the university in 1949. They received great interest, and since then, many Vilnius University students have mastered the art of fencing. Under the guidance of coach J. Timonov, the university’s fencers soon became some of the strongest in the city and, over time, in the entire Republic.
