On July 16, 2025, the FISU World University Games will kick off in Rhine-Ruhr and run until July 27 across six cities in Germany.
The World University Games, better known by their former name — the Universiade — are the largest multi-sport event after the Olympic Games. This year, over 8,500 participants are expected to compete in 18 different sports.
The Lithuanian student team consists of 57 athletes, including 7 students from Vilnius University:
