Access cards

For working out or/and taking care of your health, Vilnius University Health and Sport Centre offers you various sport activities:

You can choose from:

  • Sport coursesathletics, basketball, weightlifting, pilates, table tennis, judo, SAMBO, football, volleyball, orienteering sport, team games or adapted physical activity for students with disabilities. These trainings are free of charge.
  • Free of charge morning group activities:

    Stable Core / Mondays, 8.00 am

    Stable Core training focuses on body stabilizing muscles, which are usually pasive and tend to weaken. Additionally to this, yoga breathing techniques (pranayama) are performed, because calm and steady breathing is also important for a stable core. Recent research has shown, that yoga breathing techniques not only increase the strength of the respiratory muscles, but also reduce blood pressure, anxiety and improve focus.

    Power Yoga - the class will help your overall body and mind condition. Though sequenced postures (asanas) along with proper breathing you will be able to work on your strength, balance, flexibility and positive attitude. The classes will help you to kick start into a new day with full energy or help to relax after whole difficult week. Good Vibes Only - that is what you will take along with you after the class. Namaste!

If you don't mind being a healthy and active member of Vilnius University sport community, stand for your faculty by participating in traditional Interfaculty Competition for Rector's Prize.

You are welcome to compete in one, two, three or even eleven of these disciplines: aerobics, arm wrestling, cross-country, football, hiking, men basketball, table tennis, track and field, volleyball, weightlifting, women basketball.

 

If you have any sport achievements and feel like increasing them, just tell us about yourself!

Vilnius University's Teams participate in student's championships every year in different fields: hiking, orienteering sport, chess, rowing, SAMBO, judo, swimming, aerobic gymnastics, weightlifting, football, cross-country, table tennis, basketball, summer/winter track and field, badminton, shooting, beach volleyball, volleyball, fencing, tennis.
